Abstract: Different factors are involved in the process of non-major students learning English learning. Some contribute to improving their English proficiency, others ease or even delay learners' language proficiency. Therefore, the topic “Research on Factors Causing Difficulties in Learning English of Non-Major Students and Some Suggestions” was conducted to seriously evaluate the factors that cause difficulties for non-major students in the process of learning English and find effective solutions to improve their English proficiency. In this study, a survey questionnaire as well as an interview item were developed as the main instruments for data collection. One hundred twenty-seven respondents were conveniently sampled for the questionnaire on difficulties in learning English. Ten out of one hundred twenty-seven people were randomly selected to respond to the interview. Research results show that non-major students' difficulties in learning English are largely related to of learner-related factors, teacher-related factors, and contextrelated factors. In particular, learner-related factors have the greatest influence and teacher-related factors have the smallest impact on the student's learning process. Practical implications and potential recommendations for further research in imilar areas are then suggested.
