dc.description.abstractThe study "An investigation into English-majored seniors' motivation to learn English at Tay Do university" aims to determine the factors that affect the motivation to learn English of senior English majors. In fact, the subject of this study is the 15th Bachelor of English course at Tay Do University, including 70 students chosen as the sample for this study. To achieve the goals of this study, a mixed method was used to collect quantitative and qualitative data. Questionnaires and interviews were distributed to all participants to collect data and gather additional information. For the study, the data collected from the above mentioned tools were analyzed afterwards. From the data obtained, the results show that motivation is affected by intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation and factors such as learners, teachers and their teaching methods, classroom environment, influence of father, documents, tests. In addition, ways to improve students' motivation to learn English are also agreed upon by the majority of students.vi
